Visit

The DAR Museum, located in the NSDAR Headquarters, collects, preserves, and interprets objects used and created in American homes. Using the lens of the varied interpretations of home, we inspire conversations about the diverse American experience encouraging people to discover common ground. We collect furnishings, ceramics, glass, textiles, and household items that were made and used in America through the early 20th century.

You can explore a main gallery with the exhibit, and a study gallery where you can get close to the museum objects on your own. Allow 45 minutes to one hour for visiting the exhibition.

Parking

Metered street parking is available but limited on the roads near the DAR building. Payment is through Parkmobile, and you can download the app to your phone ahead of time to make parking easier.

There are also parking garages located in the area. To find a parking garage, try sites such as SpotHero or BestParking.com.
